Camper Route Cabo de Gata — Secret Coves and Verified Spots 2026
Share
Cabo de Gata is the wildest and most spectacular destination on the Spanish Mediterranean. The only coastal desert in Europe, turquoise water coves that resemble the Caribbean, and an absolute silence that no longer exists on any other Spanish coast. If you're traveling in a campervan or motorhome, Cabo de Gata has to be on your list.
Why Cabo de Gata is unique for campervan travel
Cabo de Gata is a protected Natural Park. This means that mass tourism has not arrived, construction is prohibited, and the coves remain exactly as they were 50 years ago. No beach bars, no rental sun loungers, no music. Just the sea, volcanic rocks, and you.
